DECEMBER 2024 – MY GARDEN BIRDS

I was hospitalised for the whole of November 2024, but was returned home for treatment to a badly infected left big toe (with both oral and and intravenous antibiotics) before I go back for an operation to replace a faulty heart valve - which cannot take place until the toe infection has completely subsided. So, I was unable to get back into photography until recently, although I will need to take it easy, until the operation is over of course. The kitchen window set-up was suitable for this purpose.

It’s been a quiet month, with the best daily species count of 11 birds – with just one squirrel and another interloper (a stunningly beautiful Cat!!) to photograph too. This is a small selection of the best shots.
